|

Hello again, I've been having this rather annoying 'glitch'. I say 'glitch' because i'm not sure if the they purposely made the map maker do this or not. My problem is combat not initiating. I was trying to make a 'zombie' creature that attacked you when he saw you in my map, but he never seemed to work and I was pretty sure I was doing it right. I then tried going on some of the original maps and seeing if Raiders or Bandits and all manner of typical enemies for example would attack me on sight. It turns out that they didn't.
Did they purposely do some sort of 'safe' mode where they won't attack you on the mapper, or is this just MY mapper? If so, any ideas on how to fix the problem?
Edit: I forgot to mention that the only way to start a battle is to manually attack them. Bandits and Raiders would say their 'combat text', so that proved that they successfully were seeing me, but they never attacked. I wasn't playing around with any of the scripts for bandits and such. |

If a critter doesn't have a script assigned to it, it won't attack.
You need to assign a script to the critter, for a start a bandit/raider script should do. _________________

No, that's not the problem. I know to to do that. What i'm saying is All
combat is not being initiated unless I manually press F8, and attack someone with my fists or whatever. No one is attacking me. And this is the vanilla Fallout 2. I haven't editted anything or have any mods. Here's an example:
Nothing is wrong in the original Fallout 2, it's just that combat will not be initiated when using the Mapper. I'm assuming this isn't normal.

Sorry, couldn't reply earlier... Too busy in my RL.
Well, you need to have this line in your mapper2.cfg file, then the mapper should "emulate" the game's conditions.

"0" value is default, set by the mapper installation. _________________
